In the Netherlands as well in other European countries the indoor
climate in existing school buildings has appaered to be unhealthy.
Some of the (school)children have respiratory disorders such as
asthma wich in cases of a polluted environment or indoor climate
cause serious difficulty with breathing. In case of asthma or other
respiratory disorders, harmful substances and gasses like sulphur
dioxide, ammonia, carbon dioxide and formaldehyde have been detected
in the indoor climate of schools. Besides their harmful effect they
prevent a healthy environment. To tackle this problem different
parties have joined their knowledge and come up with a technical
solution to obtain a healthy indoor environment as can be seen in
this filmstrip. Click on the photo 'Op naar Frisse Scholen!'.
