Ethiopia AKAKI EMERGENCY GROUND WATER PROJECT

Advice to the Addis Ababa water and Sewerage Authority on the Feasibility of the emergency groundwater development project AKAKI.

     

The project supplies potable water to the city of Addis Ababa and consists mainly of eleven deep-wells with an electrical load of 2 MVA, a water storage capacity of approximately 15.000 m3, a pumping capacity of 18 pumps of 500 kW each, utilities such as treatment facilities, etc. a transformer capacity of 13,5 MVA and a generator standby capacity of 8,9 MVA.

The review evaluation has been accomplished in association with Interbeton BV Rijswijk The Netherlands.
